Modern Psychoanalysts is pleased to announce the spring 2000
conference trip. This year we will be cruising the Western Caribbean on
Holland America’s newest ship the MS Zaandam and enjoying the vast offerings
a cruise provides while experiencing the benefits of our professional
meetings.
...Members of the Society
of Modern Psychoanalysts and their families are
invited to join us on this exciting professional and pleasure trip. The
focus of our professional meetings will be The State of Training in Modern
Psychoanalysis and our Vision for the Future and will include discussions led
by faculty and administrators of SMP training institutes. These meetings
will be held in the mornings when there are no shore trips. The rest of the
day and night for the enjoyment of shipboard pleasures.
...The ms Zaandam
is a luxury liner with spacious staterooms that are equipped
with an array of five star comforts, spectacular dining rooms, dazzling
entertainment in nightclubs and lounges and shipboard activities that range
from indoor and outdoor pools, jogging/walking track, tennis courts, gym and
spa with full health and beauty offerings. We begin our cruise in Ft
Lauderdale and our exciting itinerary takes us to the port of Playa Del
Carmen on the sun-soaked Yucatan Peninsula, from there we go to Tulum-the
only Mayan city built on the sea and also provides opportunity for walking
tours of Chichen Itza or horseback riding along picturesque scenes of
Cozumel. From there we will be taken to Grand Cayman, famous for its
talcum-soft Seven Mile Beach, then Jamaica’s Ocho Rios noted for the
spectacular Dunn’s River Falls and finally, Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas
before returning to Ft Lauderdale.

be available soon but we can expect a 45% reduction from
published fares for our group. A $300 per person reservation fee paid to the
Holland America, charged to your credit card will hold your place at this
time. Fully refundable by March 1. Mini Suites with verandahs will cost
approximately $1600 per person, outside staterooms without verandah,
$1200-$1300 and inside staterooms, $1000 - $1200. An approximate $310-$330
round trip airfare is available through Holland America and may be part of
the package. Conference fee of $150 per person, payable to SMP is due now
and is fully refundable if you cancel. Please fill in form below with your
